What people are saying

Waipipi Henry Wairarapa NZ Pinot Noir 2007: 4/5 stars
Tasted: September 2009 Closure: S'cap
Interesting wine with a spectrum of flavours that run from dark cherry and plum to licorice, floral and wild herbs. Richly textured with a lengthy finish. Just a hint of bottle age beginning to assert itself.

Waipipi Wairarapa NZ Sauvignon Blanc 2009: 4 stars
Tasted : December 2009 Closure : S'cap
Moderately concentrated wine showing good purity and focus with nettle and lemon grass flavours contrasting with riper necterine and other stone fruit characters.Crisp acidity promotes a pleasantly drying finish.A distinctive and appealing Sauvignon Blanc.

The wine was plentiful and from the Wairarapa, where they know what they're doing. I ended up exclusively quaffing Waipipi Sauvignon Blanc all night. By good fortune I then ended up talking to one of the lovely representatives of the Waipipi vineyard and was honestly able to tell him how much I enjoyed his product and how I shall look out for it next time I'm a business exec wooing clients over a long lunch.

Just a quick note to let you know that we have really enjoyed the case of Chardonnay we ordered from you while at the Manawatu Wine & Food Fest. Andrea considers it the best NZ Chardy she's tried :) We're powering through it, and will be in need of a re-stock in the not-too-distant future. Hopefully there will be some left for us? Also wondering how the "bubbles" are coming along - we'll also be looking for some of that when ready.
